I am proud and happy to announce that I have become a member of the Dutch Directors Guild (DDG)the professional association representing directors in the Netherlands. The DDG has been working for over 25 years to unite, inform, and represent directors, both individually and collectively, while continuously striving to improve our position in the industry.
The DDG actively works to strengthen the rights of directors by advocating for fair contracts, better remuneration, and copyright protection. It also provides valuable services, such as legal advice, model contracts, and insurance discounts, to support directors in their careers. Additionally, the guild fosters a strong creative community through networking events, monthly member nights, seminars, and workshops.
Beyond supporting its members, the DDG plays a key role in cultural policy discussions in both the Netherlands and Europe, ensuring that directors' voices are heard and that inclusivity remains a central focus. While important progress has been made over the years, the guild continues to push for further improvements in the industry.
With years of international experience in cinematography and directing, I am excited to contribute to and benefit from this community while continuing my work in the Dutch and global film industries.
